Soulja Boy Launches His Own Cartoon Show
Not every pop star is ambitious enough to seek being immortalized in animated format but, like Hammer Man before him, the recently-robbed rapper Soulja Boy Tell’em is turning his life and career into a funny cartoon: “Soulja Boy Tell’em: The Animated Series”
You Tell’em Soulja Boy, you tell’em…
Following in the hallowed tradition of MC Hammer’s “Hammerman” cartoon, Soulja Boy Tell’em has launched his own animated series, titled … what else? “Soulja Boy Tell’em: The Animated Series.”
Combining live-action and throwback animation, the first episode of the online series finds a cartoon SJB performing at a talent show and cruising around town in his signature Segway — which, in the ‘toon world, is improbably pimped out with a sidecar.
And guess what SJB’s series is about? Yup, it’s about him, as a rapper, being perpetually taped by his posse. Yeah, uh, inspired stuff!
As in real life, everything the “Bird Walk” rapper does is taped by a member of his posse, and the 2-D MC — forced to return to high school in the midst of his superstardom — is obsessed with haters who disrespect him despite his mountain of ringtone sales.
Oh and one other random factoid: Carlton Banks is co-starring. Remember The Fresh Prince? Silver Spoons?
Nice work, Alfonso Boy Tell’em. You tell’em too.
The real-life co-star of the first episode is none other than “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” sidekick Alfonso Ribeiro (a.k.a. the uptight Carlton Banks), who plays the role of the, well, uptight principal of the school.
Watch the first video “Theme Song” of the series and see for yourself. It’s weird.

‘Tron’ Sequel in the Works, Garrett Hedlund Lands Leading Role
Disney is remaking the 1982 classic videogaming fantasy flick ‘Tron‘ and the Mickey Mouse co. has cast the relatively unknown actor, Garrett Hedlund, as the lead.
Garrett Hedlund, who has until now acted in larger ensemble pieces such as “Friday Night Lights” and “Eragon,” will play a man pulled into the world of a computer.
If you haven’t heard of Hedlund, you’re not the only one.
Hedlund has been considered one of those actors on the cusp within the industry. The 24-year-old Minnesota native made his debut in 2004’s “Troy,” and also appeared in such films as “Four Brothers” and “Georgia Rule.”
Thankfully, the remake will include Jeff Bridges who appeared in the original — and Olivia Wilde has also been added to the cast.
“Tron” is currently in production and is set to begin shooting in the spring. No official release date has been announced but, according to imdb, “Tron 2.0″ could hit theatres sometime in 2011.
“Tron,” which was previously known as “Tron 2″ and “Tr2n,” is expected to start shooting in the spring with Joseph Kosinski at the helm.

Jennifer Garner Gives Birth to Baby Girl With No Name
Two of your favourite celebrities, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have had their second child — a baby that has yet to be named.
Thankfully, NowPublic has stepped in to offer some wonderfully helpful suggestions.
Whatever Jen & Ben decide, let’s hope this lil’ baby Bennifer grows up knowing just how beautiful and self-important she is.
Hey, remember Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck? Me neither, but apparently they had some sort of kid yesterday, according to People:
The actress’s rep says: “Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck gave birth to a healthy baby girl.”
The baby was born Tuesday in Los Angeles. No other details were immediately available. Garner and Affleck, both 36, are also parents to daughter Violet, 3.
Since I’m devilishly handsome, I happen to have the name of Jennifer and Ben’s new baby girl right here. It’s “God, I Wish You Were a Viable Acting Career Instead of a Baby Elizabeth Affleck.” Now that’s adorable. Congratulations, you crazy kids.
