Rapper Trick Trick Hates on Homosexuality
Rapper Trick Trick has come forward with a blatantly homophobic and outright anti-gay statement this week regarding the release of his new album — which he believes is exclusively for a heterosexual audience.
It sounds like someone’s got some seriously unresolved issues that he needs to examine.
In the meantime, he should also realize that hate speech and hateful music isn’t going to earn him anyone’s respect.
Perhaps a boycott of his album is in order?
Longtime Eminem collaborator Trick Trick probably lost a few fans this week when he announced that he doesn’t want gay people to buy his new album, The Villain. In a recent interview with Allhiphop.com, Trick Trick said: “I don’t want your faggot money any g**damn way. I don’t like it. Carry that sh*t somewhere else.” Trick Trick specifically called out openly gay celebrities Rosie O’Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres on a song called “Trick Trick,” in which he threatens to send a “scud missile right through their f**king cruise ship.” He added: “It’s just that every time that you turn on the TV, that sissy sh*t is on. And they act like its f**king okay. The world is changing for the worst when sh*t like that happens. And I address that issue. I address it hard as hell.”
Trick’s new album, The Villain, is in stores now. I don’t recommend it to anyone, gay or straight.

Associated Press to Cut 10% of Workforce
The Associated Press (AP) isn’t the only media organization suffering from the current economic downturn, however, the global news service announced on Thursday that it plans to cut 10% of its total workforce in 2009 — which could amount to more than 400 jobs.
It seems no industry or organization is immune to the effects of the economic crisis. But questions do remain as to how much worse things can get.
The Associated Press (AP) plans to cut up to 10% of its workforce in 2009, or around 400 people.
Reuters quotes sources at AP who were present when AP Chief Executive Tom Curley delivered the news as part of a “town hall” meeting with employees. The cuts are said to be made to assist AP to cope “with tough financial times and ailing member newspapers.”
AP said in a statement that “All areas and ways of doing business are being reviewed. The AP, which recently instituted a strategic hiring freeze, may need to reduce staff over the next year. If so, it hopes to achieve much of the reduction through attrition.”
AP has made headlines this year as members have resigned or have considered doing so, including the Tribune Company.

Teen Commits Suicide Live on Justin.tv Website
This story is both shocking and heartbreaking.
Abraham K. Biggs, a Florida teenager, committed suicide on the live video streaming website Justin.tv — and the site’s viewers encouraged him do it.
Why didn’t site users help prevent this tragedy?
Abraham K. Biggs, 19 from Florida committed suicide live on Justin.tv Wednesday after being encouraged by viewers to do so.
The story as best we can follow it is that Biggs threatened to overdose on pills live on Justin.tv on a bodybuilding forum at bodybuilding.com. According to eyewitness reports, moderators didn’t believe him, and other users either on bodybuilding.com, Justin.tv or both egged him on to do it. Biggs, known as “candyjunkie” then posted a suicide note (copy here), downed a pile of pills then “went to sleep” all on camera. According to a report here, “he breathes for a few hours, people think he’s going to be alright and keep joking and trash talking him on Justin.tv”. Some time later people realize he was not moving, someone tracks down his details, calls police and paramedics, who then broke into his house to come to his aid…with that all being streamed live as well.
NewTeeVee has confirmed Biggs’ death with the Broward County medical examiner.
