She’s already a reality star and a fashion designer, but Lauren Conrad is adding another title to her crowded resume: Author.

Conrad, 22, has signed on to write a three-book series of young adult fiction for HarperCollins, the publisher tells PEOPLE. The books – the first of which is scheduled to hit shelves in the summer of 2009 – will be loosely inspired by Conrad’s own experience going from an ordinary teen to a reality TV star.

“It’s definitely influenced by my own life,” Conrad tells PEOPLE. “The books are about a girl who moves to L.A. and stars in a reality show, so obviously there are some similarities.”

“My fight on a daily basis is getting my kids to finish their vegetables,” Ulrich says.

After yesterday’s arrest at Los Angeles airport, LAX, both Kanye West and his road manager, Don C, have been released on $20,000 bail and are currently in Hawaii.

According to the Associated Press, West left an LA police station prior to being booked where he was escorted by an assortment of umbrellas to help prevent gathering photographers snap shots of the rap star.

Leaving in an all-black Chevrolet Suburban truck with a license plate that read “DIVA,” both men were immediately escorted by police to a private jet flight traveling to Hawaii. Although West resisted giving reporters an official statement, he did inform fans of his current situation via the renowned blog.

“We back in the lab,” he wrote.  “I’m cool with the paparazzi. “This guy wasn’t cool. I gotta work now… I’ll rant later!”

A Los Angeles International Airport spokesperson tells @BreakingNewsOn that Grammy Award-winner Kanye West has been arrested at the airport.

Police say they have arrested Kanye West at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of vandalism after an altercation with a photographer.

[Nicole] Kidman was named the most overpaid celebrity in Hollywood in the second annual list of least bankable stars by Forbes magazine, taking the top spot from fellow Australian Russell Crowe.

Kidman’s films were estimated to only earn $1 for every dollar the Oscar-winning actress was paid compared with $8 a year ago.

“The Invasion,” a remake of the 1956 classic “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” lost $2.68 for every dollar earned by Kidman who was reportedly paid $17 million for her role.

“Despite winning an Oscar for her performance in 2002’s “The Hours,” Kidman has become the most overpaid celebrity in Hollywood,” said Forbes, adding that her upcoming movie “Australia” could give her a boost.

Second in the list came Jennifer Garner, whose movies including “The Kingdom” and “Catch and Release” have underperformed at the box office. Her movies were calculated to earn $3.60 for every $1 she was paid.

Kidman’s ex-husband, Tom Cruise, came third in the list with a $4 return for every dollar he was paid, mostly because of the failure of last year’s movie “Lions for Lambs.” For every dollar the star earned the film returned only $1.88.

Forbes said the ranking was compiled by looking at a star’s past three movies and dividing their total earnings by the films’ gross income to get the actor’s payback figure.

Making up the top 10 of overpaid Hollywood celebrities were Cameron Diaz, Jim Carrey, Nicolas Cage, Drew Barrymore, Will Ferrell and Cate Blanchett.

Jacqui Landrum, who teamed with her husband to choreograph many Hollywood films, has died. She was 64.

Landrum died of cancer Aug. 29 in Los Angeles, her husband Bill Landrum told the Los Angeles Times. The Landrums coordinated giant, writhing crowds and choreographed gyrating rockers in the biopics “Great Balls of Fire” and “The Doors.”

The couple also worked on several Coen brothers films including “Barton Fink” and “The Big Lebowski,” which featured a Busby Berkeley-inspired dance number set in a surreal bowling alley with Vikings, showgirls in bowling-pin hats and Saddam Hussein.

Born Jacqui Levy in Los Angeles on Dec. 10, 1943, Levy graduated from Fairfax High School and first worked as a choreographer for a 1960s TV show called “Hollywood a Go-Go.”
