Isaac Hayes Funeral Set For Aug. 18 in Memphis
The funeral for soul singer Isaac Hayes will be held this coming Monday, August 18th, in Cordova, TN, just outside of Memphis. As NowPublic previously reported, the singer died last Sunday of a stroke, at the age of 65.
The funeral arrangements for legendary musician Isaac Hayes were announced Wednesday. The funeral will take place in Memphis on Monday.
The memorial service for Isaac Hayes will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday morning at Hope Presbyterian Church, which is located at 8500 Walnut Grove Rd. in Cordova, TN, a suburb of Memphis.
Hayes, who was best known for his work on the “Shaft” soundtrack, died at age 65 last Sunday of a stroke. Hayes was found dead inside his Memphis home. At that time, the cause of death was unknown until reports on Wednesday determined that he suffered a stroke.
